Michael Ross
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
U.S. Army Veteran | Humanitarian Leader | Community Development Advocate
Michael Ross is a U.S. Army Veteran and the founder and CEO of The Future of Our Kids (TFOK), a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding opportunity and improving quality of life in underserved communities.
With more than 25 years of experience in leadership, governance, and humanitarian service in both the United States and Africa, Michael focuses on developing practical and sustainable solutions that address critical community needs.
Through TFOK, Michael leads initiatives that provide access to clean and safe drinking water through borehole drilling and solar-powered water systems in regions where reliable water sources are limited.
His work is centered on strengthening communities by improving access to essential infrastructure and resources. In the United States, Michael also leads initiatives focused on supporting veterans and families through housing and community development programs, including efforts to build quality modular housing and create stable, supportive neighborhoods for veterans transitioning to civilian life.
Michael’s leadership approach emphasizes collaboration and partnership, working with local communities, government agencies, and international organizations to create solutions that produce lasting and meaningful impact.

Dr Tim Lucas

Dr. Tim Lucas is a retired U.S. Marine and seasoned leader with over 35 years of distinguished service in the military and federal government. Currently a Program Manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, he brings extensive expertise in executive leadership, strategic communication, and large-scale initiative management. As the founder of the Adult Autism Support Center and a published author, Dr. Lucas is deeply committed to fostering sustainable models of inclusion and community empowerment. His unique blend of discipline and pastoral insight aligns with our mission to transform lives through sustainable infrastructure and service-oriented leadership.

Alasha K Bunton
Treasurer
Alasha K. Bunton is a real estate entrepreneur and financial strategist with deep expertise in investment management and asset development. As Treasurer of The Future of Our Kids, she is responsible for safeguarding the organization's financial integrity, overseeing financial reporting, and working alongside the CEO to develop and manage the annual budget. Alasha collaborates with the board to establish financial policies grounded in transparency, accountability, and long-term sustainability - ensuring that every dollar entrusted to TFOK advances its mission to transform underserved communities. Her strong leadership, sharp analytical skills, and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes make her an invaluable steward of the organization's resources. Alasha's commitment to community empowerment through sound financial management directly supports TFOK's vision of building a world where clean water, renewable energy, and affordable housing are accessible to all.

Steve Jones
Board Member
Steve Jones brings over 31 years of military leadership as a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and extensive experience in international humanitarian missions, including a Kenyan Certificate of Ambassadorship. His professional expertise as a real estate investor aligns with our commitment to affordable housing, while his dedication to financial literacy and community empowerment strengthens our mission to transform vulnerable communities. Steve’s profound history of service and global perspective is instrumental in advancing our water, energy, and housing initiatives throughout the US, Africa and beyond.

David Kirui Sang
Board Member
David Kirui Sang is a seasoned agricultural professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in the United Kingdom, where he studied at Warwickshire College of Agriculture. Following his tenure in the UK, David relocated to Kenya and served as Group Technical Support Manager with regional responsibilities across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
He is deeply passionate about supporting farming communities and helping them adopt modern technologies to improve productivity and sustainability.
